EDUCATION

MAGIC IN THE MAKING

Our classes and programs offer a place where children from diverse backgrounds can learn and grow as individuals, performers, and future community leaders. Every student will feel supported and encouraged to express themselves. We work hard to create a safe space where they can let their special talents and personalities shine!

MEET THE TEACHING ARTISTS

spring-classes-hero-2024-2

Whether your child is looking for a place to start, or is already a seasoned performer, our classes are fun, engaging and will foster a passion for acting, voice, dance, musical theatre games and direct them in spectacular showcases that will utilize all that they have learned.  Classes are designed to develop a young performer's stage presence while teaching life-skills, enriching self-esteem, building confidence and fostering creativity.

We offer three class sessions in Fall, Winter and Spring. Each session includes an 8 week course that will conclude with a showcase.

Campers will experience what it takes to create a full production, from auditions to performance. Professional teaching artists provide valuable training in acting, singing and dancing. Go behind-the-scenes and learn elements of production, like lighting and sound cues, props and costuming. Family and friends will applaud their final day of camp performances! No theatre experience necessary, just come and have fun!

We offer two, one-week-long sessions of Spring Break musical theatre camp in March, and two, four-week-long sessions of Summer musical theatre camp in June and July. Click HERE for class registration, schedule, and more!

Summer-Camp-24-Hero-1

Each camp runs Monday - Friday from 9am to 3pm at Valley Youth Theatre. Before and after care is available as well.  Click HERE for class registration, schedule, and more!

field-trips-and-school-shows

Our field trips are designed for classroom integration, including an interactive study guide that complements the show and extends student learning beyond the performance. These special weekday performances are $12 per seat for students and adult chaperones and are timed so that classes can enjoy shows during the regular school day.

A talkback opportunity will follow each performance, allowing students to get a behind the scenes look at each show and interact with the cast. Seating is extremely limited so get your seating requests in NOW! Click HERE to request your school field trip using our reservation survey!
