Valley Youth Theatre offers performance troupes for those who are serious about strengthening their performing arts foundation.
Auditions for Troupes: September 12 th and January 23rd (Ha Ha's only)
PLAYMAKERS
This children's theatre troupe is for children ages 8-13 and rehearses every Monday from 5:00-6:30pm. Playmakers perform 1 full production on January 14th. The focus of this troupe is for the members to experience the rehearsal process as well as experience in building characters, working as an ensemble, taking on challenging roles, and going through the production process. Productions are focused mainly on the children’s performance. Playmaker parents also play an integral part in this troupe as volunteers who assist with technical aspects of the show.
Session: September 12th to January 14th (Cost: $200)
(14 rehearsals plus 1 performance)

Auditions will take place at the theatre September 12th. Auditioners must prepare a memorized one-minute piece (monologue from a show or book, poem, etc.). Also, please bring a photo of the auditioner. Pre-registration is not required.
THE HA HA’S- VYT Improv Troupe
This troupe is for teens ages 13+ and is an improvisational performance troupe that rehearses every Monday from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Performances are in monthly shows and additional Valley Youth Theatre events throughout the season. Members focus on developing characterization, story building, and thinking-on-your-feet skills.
Tuition: $300 annual dues
*All prospective members must complete one or more sessions of the Introduction to Improv: The Hee Hee’s Class.
