Valley Youth Theatre Announces Launch of New Website

VYT Releases a New and Informative Website all about their Performing Arts Theatre.

Phoenix, AZ — July 31, 2008 — Valley Youth Theatre, VYT is dedicated to having a positive impact on the community’s children. Valley Youth Theatre programs offer educational and cultural opportunities to thousands of the community’s future leaders. Valley Youth Theatre’s mission is to inspire young people to be the best that they can be by providing lifelong lessons through a wide range of performing arts opportunities.

Young people ages 7-17 have the opportunity to star in on-stage productions through Valley Youth Theatre. Every child interested in being in a production must audition. Through auditioning children learn confidence, stage presence and many other qualities they can carry with them throughout life. Valley Youth Theatre’s new website offers in-depth details about the audition process.

If you or your child is interested in something other than auditioning Valley Youth Theatre offers fun-filled educational camps and troupes up ages 3 and up. Camp is available during spring break and summer break, both of which have performances during the last day. Performance troupes are for those who are serious about strengthening their performing arts foundation. Valley Youth Theatre offers 4 troupes each focusing on different age groups and experience levels.

Teachers all around Arizona have found Valley Youth Theatre field trips to be educational and also reinforce skill development. Marilyn, a librarian, said "For many of the students this was the first time they had ever been to a live performance…they were mesmerized.” Another librarian, Warren thanked Valley Youth Theatre for their dedication to enriching children’s lives, he said “Thanks so much for caring about our children. You are having an impact on their futures.”

Valley Youth Theatre depends upon the support of volunteers. Approximately 900 young people, representing all socio-economic backgrounds and diverse communities, audition each season; more than 350 participate as actors, technicians and musicians. Valley Youth Theatre needs the community’s help to keep these 900 young people active and involved in theatre. From financial donations to precious time, Valley Youth Theatre needs you.
